The smart boys …
… will always have fun in Bouvy's incomparably “dressy” department where they will find suits by Canali , Corneliani or Ravazzolo . And all – from the smallest sizes to the very tall – will find just what they want, whether ready-to-wear or bespoke or in between.
… will find no end to choices of ties, one of Bouvy's musts: wool, silk, sport, or refined, flashy or not at all (this season less will be much more). And where there are ties there will be shirts. Most are by Bouvy or Van Laack and available in many colours. As are the jumpers and cardigans in merino, cashmere or lambs wool and all blends.
… and will find their pants to be better a little British: thick wools, cords and checks are on the programme !
… will at times replace their tie by a scarf or foulard for that look of “dressy, but not overly”.
… will be curling up in their large vests – just a little oversized - from Dellaciora which will be worn by all ages, from dandy to trendy.
… will also like their down-filled jumpers by Moncler , which, like those for women, are a blend of materials and fabrics: flannels, herringbones, and wools. Down-filled with or without hood, hard-finish or not, everything goes. Even down-filled sheared lamb. Ultimate comfort …!
… will be thinking about reefer jackets, parkas or coats. Fay is carrying on with its “modernisation” and showing classic coats with a more relaxed fit.
For men, in addition to footwear ( Church's is now available from Bouvy !) and chukka boots “for suits” by Fratelli Rossetti or Campanile , we are seeing the return of heavier footwear, rougher, to be worn with jeans and suit jacket such as those from Hogan which has another choice to its basketball shoe.
Totally in keeping with winter 2011, Heschung is continuing its classic country, gentleman farmer, line. Always just right, like Santoni or Tod's offering moccasins with ties or plain, its chukkas and English style shoes and, for the nostalgia, the boot that launched the brand.
